Non-governmental organizations operate solely in the private sector. There are some unusual cases where NGO's might receive partial funding from the government but there is usually no affiliation between the NGO and the government. NGO's work to cause some kind of political and legal change but do not work with the government or certain political parties. They work to benefit society.
